US tariffs boost China's PV shipments

The United States has seen a surge in PV imports from mainland China and Taiwan, as companies seek to obtain low-cost products before imposing trade tariffs.

According to market research firm NPD Solarbuzz, the share of Chinese companies in the top 20 US suppliers was almost double in the second quarter of 2013, compared with the second quarter of 2014, compared with the second quarter of 2013.
